Reconnecting with my childhood through rural experiences
Carmen grew up in Fuenteheridos, a charming village in one of the most picturesque rural areas in Spain, where she developed a deep appreciation for the countryside and rural lifestyle. The Cottages is a passion project inspired by these experiences, created for those who love holiday cottages in Spain and seek to reconnect with nature. It offers the perfect setting for a peaceful rural retreat.
Back to nature's origins
Later on, she left to study abroad, moving away from the place where she grew up. Overwhelmed by looking for work in big cities, disconnected from her essence, she suffered a lot from the stress of the frenetic life we lead.
After traveling around the world, Carmen returns to her origins. Desiring to show the mountains from a local perspective and share all her passions, the cottages was born.

An idea that was born from merging my love for rural life, a need to make people enjoy the experiences that I love in the sierra and a deep collective urge to disconnect from technology and connect with one’s inner child.
The cottages welcomes all countryside lovers and enthusiasts, through workshops, events, tourism and community.
Primarily for adults, but also for kids. The aim is to provide an alternative holiday away from mass tourism. A time of connection with nature and with your inner-self. Flow in the heart of the national park Sierra de Aracena y Picos de Aroche.
